Tom Hanks talked to MTV about Sandra Bullock and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close at the HBO Emmys After Party. You can watch the video by clicking on the image below.
The Pacific received 24 nominations in 15 categories and won 8 statuettes, including Outstanding Miniseries yesterday night at the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards. Tom Hanks accepted the award as executive producer. You can find in our video archives the acceptance speech as well as a backstage interview made by The Insider.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. and Paramount have partnered to adapt Jonathan Safran Foer's 2005 novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The story centers on Oskar Schell, a precocious 9-year-old boy who finds a key in a vase that belongs to his father (who perished in the North Tower in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks) and searches to find the lock that goes with it.
While Stephen Daldry is to direct, Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock have been offered to play the boy's parents and the filmmakers are just starting the search for their young lead. However, negotiations for the lead parts have not started yet and no commitment has been made.
The screenplay has been written by Oscar winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Benjamin Button) who adapted the novel, which involves multiple narrators and time frames, such as flashbacks. Scott Rudin, who produces the movie, has been developing the project since 2005. His recent Oscar projects include No Country for Old Men, There Will be Blood, Julie & Julia, and Doubt. The goal is to begin filming in January in New York.
The website Showbiz411 announced in an article about Julia Roberts that the movie Larry Crowne will be released on June 19, 2011. However, this release date has yet to be confirmed and has not been mentioned anywhere else.
